Itinerary
Day 1: :
Zanzibar flight to Nyerere Park
We board an afternoon flight in Zanzibar (30 minutes) and fly directly to Nyerere National Park (formerly known as Selous Game Reserve), Once we arrive, settle down at your chosen lodge or camp. After check-in, will be taken to the jetty, where your boat safari adventure will commence. Prepare yourself for a magnificent experience on the Great Rufiji River. During the boat safari, witness various wildlife such as crocodiles, hippos, black and white colobus monkeys, as well as a wide array of bird species including fish eagles, pied kingfishers, and giant kingfishers.
As the day draws to a close, marvel at the breathtaking sunset views before returning to your lodge or camp for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: :
Game Drive Safari at Nyerere Park
Start your day with an early morning breakfast at your camp or lodge. Afterward, proceed to the gates of Nyerere National Park for a full day of exhilarating game viewing within the expansive reserve, formerly known as Selous, the largest game reserve in Africa.
Throughout the day, embark on wildlife game drives, eagerly searching for a wide variety of animals and birds. Expect to encounter graceful gazelles, majestic giraffes, agile impalas, mighty elephants, roaming wildebeests, striking kudus, and the iconic zebras. With a stroke of luck, you may even catch a glimpse of the rarest and most elusive of them all, the African wild dogs. After an eventful day of wildlife exploration, return to your accommodations for a comfortable overnight stay. All meals are included, ensuring a delightful culinary experience throughout your stay.
Day 3: :
Nature Walking Safari- Fly Zanzibar
After an early morning breakfast, embark on a walking safari within Nyerere Park (Selous). Accompanied by an armed ranger and trained naturalist, experience the thrill of exploring the African wilderness on foot. In the late afternoon, drive to Mtemere Airstrip to fly back to Zanzibar Island.
